First of all, can we talk about how yummy any touch mousse foundation looks? Almost reminds me of chocolate cake icing! YUM! For me when I hear touch mouse here is what I expect:

  • Soft to the touch
  • Easy blending
  • Pigment for days!

I got the Essence Touch Mousse foundation in the shade 60 True Mahogany. I know what you thinking “wait what? it’s not even your shade” I got it in the hopes to use it as a cream contour and to use it on my mother or Nomsa if ever I have to beat their faces (not literally lol this sounds so wrong ). Yep that’s my thought pattern.

I have been using this product as a cream contour ever since I bought it months ago and can I tell you? It is on point! It is so soft to the touch I can almost blend it to completion I tell you and that it a + for me because It means I can control how dramatic or pigmented I want my contour to be. and when I am looking for the dramatic contour it gives me just that. Pigment for days.

This product promises to give you a smooth and natural looking matt complexion and based on the out come of my contour when using it I 100% fully agree. it doesn’t crease or crack and my contour looks very natural.

I wish I could find this product in my exact shade to use all over my face as their lightest colour for deeper skin tone is Caramel and it looks a bit dark. But I am willing to give it a try otherwise I can just use  it to contour

I used the Essence Soft Touch Mousse to contour in the picture above and I wanted it to be very subtle because I was going for a natural looking every day make up look so I blended it almost to completion and I loved the result

I absolutely love it and recommend it. It retails for R79.95 at Clicks and Dischem.

Ciao for now x.o

  1. Thanks for the review friend, I hardly look at Essence face products because of the lack of colour diversity. I think this one would work as a contour for me as well
