Have you ever wanted that defined, chiseled and glowy face? I know I have! When I discovered Highlighting and Contouring  I was like “yep! That’s my bae!” So I went about finding the best way to do it. Just like everything else in life when it comes to make up, you need to find and perfect “your thing” from the precedence already set.

Face shape

It is very important to consider your face shape when contouring, with that you will know where you need to contour. I have an Oval face shape.

Highlighting and contouring

I like my contour very dramatic but at the same time not too obvious. Feel me?  So I went for a shade waaaay darker than my skin tone but the trick is I have the blend and blend and Blend. I started with Essence Mattifying powder in the colour True Mahogany but, I found that it doesn’t give me the definition that I am looking for so I gave it to my mom as the powder is her shade. I then started using Essence Mousse foundation in the colour True Mahogany and the definition is on some 100 if not more

I started off with the Wet and Wild Bikini contest Bronzer, I found that the shade doesn’t give me the shimmer that I want and I struggle to find the perfect product to use for contouring so I opted for my eye shadow palette… Pretty much any shimmery gold shade will work but I specifically use the gold shade from my Essence All about bronze palette and for now, until I find that right highlighting kit, it works BOMB for me

If you know any contouring kits that are easily accessible in SA please let me know?

Essence and LA girl have some highlighting and contour palettes. I usually just hlighlight, I don’t do a lot of contouring.
