I love a good fully fledged face beat but, some days I don’t really feel like going the whole full face beat route… actually on most days to be honest. Reason being time especially on work days and also wanting the fresh bare but better look. I know some women who prefer this over full face beat any day.
If you would like some tips on how to get that makeup no makeup look, you have come to the right place. Keep on reading.
What you need
- Light coverage foundation or Illuminating Primer
- Darker bronzer/ powder (Optional)
- Highlighter (Optional)
- Nude Eyeshadow
- Setting Spray
First things first! Make sure that your face is cleansed and moisturized every time you apply make up to your face always!
With that out of the way, let us begin… This is what I do
Step 1: I prefer to use just the primer as it leaves a flawless finish. Using the Clarins Instant Radiant Illuminizing Primer, I distribute it across my face and blend it in with a rounded brush. (If you wish you can follow up with your light foundation in this step. )
Step 2: I then apply my eye shadow, I love to use just one colour or if I am blending I make sure that they are nude colours. today I will be using the brown shade from the Essence Happy girls are pretty in the crease and then I will use the gold shade from the same palette on my eyelids but I want to blend it to almost completion.
Step 3: Now we are going to lightly contour. It is very important that you use a bronzer or powder that is not too pigmented. If it is, use sparingly and blend your hands off. the idea is that the contour looks as natural as possible. feel free to skip this step if it is a bit too much for you. I will be using The Balm Bahama mama bronzer
Step 4: Highlight. okay here we are going to break the rules a bit. Although we want to stay natural, we want that glow too. Do not go too heavy but put just enough to get that glow going and blend it out thoroughly Feel free to skip this step as well if you want just a makeup no makeup look. For this step I will be using the Bodyography Highlight and bronzer duo
Step 5: For blush we are just adding some colour to the cheeks. We are going back to using sparingly. If you blush is too pigmented use just a little bit and apply it onto the high points of your cheeks and blend it out. I will be using the Essence Silk touch blush in pink
Step 6: For liner, we are going to line just the waterline of the eyes. you can either use black or white (to open up your eyes a bit). I will be using some black eyeliner that I got from the R5 Store some years back. and then you can just use some mascara on your lashes to elongate your lashes a bit.
Step 7: Finally Lips. This step we want either a nude or very soft colour. I will be using the Essence XXXL Nude lipgloss in the colour soft whisper for this step
Continue to spray some setting spray to keep your make up in check for the day and there you are!! Gorgeous!!!
