Attention all ladies who love a subtle natural glow highlight, this highlighter is definitely for you! It has just enough pigment to leave a natural golden glow. It is absolutely gorgeous! For all my ladies who love their highlighter to POP, you have to work a little harder with this one but I am all for the fact that at the end of the day everyone is happy! I have tested this highlighter on different skin tones and everyone was happy and I have to say that it suits most skin tones which is a major plus.
HACK #1: Always check highlighters against your skintone. I have realized that not all highlighters will suit your skintone so you need to know your shades. LUCKILY Gold seems to suit everyone!
Essence Glow to Go Highlighter palette in 10 in 10 Sunkissed Glow. Clicks and Dischem R99.95
I saw this palette and I knew we had to get acquainted. I knew just by looking at it that it was going to deliver. Compared to the above mentioned highlighter, This palette is mad pigmented Good news for some of us. This palette is packed with different shades of gold catering for all skin tones. I am madly in love with this palette I won’t lie.
HACK #2: Highlight the high points of your face. This will be you cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, cupids bow and your brow bone.
Beauty Treats Strobe and Glow palette. Dischem R99.95
I initially though I had hit jackpot when I picked up this palette but I was sorely mistaken. The highlighters are patchy! But the saving grace is that the bronzer/ blush part of this palette is booming which is the only reason why I even bothered including it in this post and of course to let you know not to expect much if you ever decide to pick this palette up.
HACK #3: If you have a big forehead like me, DO NOT and I mean NEVER highlight your forehead. You will look like a bulb holder. Ask me I will tell you
The Balm Rockstar Palette (Highlighter: disco) R520 Stuttafords
I spent a long time underestimating the highlighter on this palette. You see, I am not crazy about the palette at all I really tried to let this palette in but it’s not working out because I just never win with the eyeshadows. I digress. Then this one time I decided to try the highlighter, My WORD! The pigment is insane, the shade is glorious I am wondering why on earth I don’t wear it more often as we speak! The blush on this palette is great too.
HACK #4: If you want to layer highlighters, for the best results, try shading from darkest to lightest! You’re welcome!
Swiitch Beauty Glowgasm Palette. Swiitch beauty website R 450.00
(Please don’t judge my messy palette… fallout and all) This is one of my firm faves! The pigment on this palette is amazing and I am able to use ALL the shades. It has 6 shades and they are all gorgeous. Everyone that watches my YouTube videos know that I am all for this palette and this says a lot because I haven’t had the best experience with the brand. Customer service and all but the truth is the truth and the truth is important. So I give this palette a big thumbs up!!
HACK #5: the best tools to apply a highlighter is a fan brush, try and find one that has dense bristles ,you can also use a setting brush and ofcos, your fingers if you so desire.

New favourite Child! I could have sworn I fainted the first time I tried out this palette. Okay I am being dramatic but you get my point though right? It’s that bad. This palette has six beautiful shades and the pigment is crazy popping. I love this palette to the moon and back and I would recommend it to anyone .
HACK #6: you can use your highlighter as you inner corner shade! It looks beautiful when you match your highlight to your brow bone to your inner eye corners! See what I did there LOL!
