My birthday month is upon us! Wow where did the year go? I thought it would be fitting to share my beauty wishlist who knows maybe God will intervene and say happy birthday my child!! I am usually very shy to list this but then again there is no cost in wishing is there?! Well, let’s get straight to it!
This week I am adamant to being a problem solver! What with my tips for adjusting to your new hair journey and now I am here to give some transitioning tips!!! I must say I feel pretty great about this. Transitioning can be even more frustrating that starting a new hair journey because you are now shifting from one hair mindset to another and then you are dealing with two hair textures. You might find yourself very frustrated with some weird stunts that your hair will try to pull but worry not my love, I am here to guide you.
I must say, the hardest part of a new hair journey is adjusting to the new rules! Be it you have natural hair or relaxed hair it is tough. See in South Africa, we grew up with a certain set of rules with regards to our hair and most of the rules that come with this hair journey that we love so much goes against what we grew up believing and boy is it difficult to adjust!!!
I bet all my relaxed ladies thought I forgot all you since I went natural… Never that! And this one is for you!! I might have not have gotten to a point of amazing unbelievable length during my relaxed hair journey. But I did get some thickness and health improvement which in my case is very much what I can testify for. See when it comes to length I have never had a problem my hair grew quiet long. It was the health and the thickness I was really after and with these tips I got just that.
Many women always tell me that they fear going natural because their hair is so hard and the management is even harder. I always only say one thing, Feel my hair. I always get asked how do I get my natural type 4 hair to be sooo soft. I thought to give 5 tips to having soft natural hair.
For me detangling my natural hair is a painful moment. Not literally *giggles* What I mean is that I am the type of person that can’t sit for too long doing one thing so I get very impatient. I found a way around this. Detangling doesn’t take an hour. I minimized that to 30 mins on a bad day. If you would like to know exactly what I do, keep on reading.
