Starting your hair journey can be both frustrating and daunting. There is so much to learn and so much to adapt to. I found that there were so many thing that were contrary to what I believed in when it comes to ethnic hair care in my country. Therefore, it made my adjusting process to hectic! I lived on tips be it on social media, blog and YouTube channel so this is my chance to give back. In this post I will be giving tips on how to start your healthy hair journey.
Tips for starting your hair journey
Tip 1: Do your research
This is the most important step when it comes to your hair journey. there are so many thing to learn and since your hair care will become a part of your lifestyle
Tip 2: Determine the state of your hair
From your research and personal experience, you will be able to determine the state of your hair which brings us to tip number 3
Tip 3: Set goals
Set goals of what you want to achieve with your hair journey. Set both short term and long term goals
Tip 4: Create your hair care regimen
Once you have done the above mentioned, you can now plan and create you hair care regimen. from your research you would have learned the core principle routines that you need and you will also pretty much know what types of products you need you can then create your hair care regimen.
Tip 5: Take it slow
There is a lot to do in hair care so take your time when it comes to implementing. Start with the basics and gradually incorporate other thing as you get comfortable with your basic hair care routines
Tip 6: Be patient
Patience is so important in your hair journey… It takes time and if you rush you might end up giving up. Be patient and results will come
Tip 7: Take Pictures
Pictures will help you keep track of your progress in your journey.
Tip 8: Understand your hair
Learn to understand your hair. No two heads are the same so at some point you will have to make decisions about what works for your hair.
Tip 9: Have fun
This is becoming your lifestyle. Have fun with it.
Tip 10: Wear your hair the way you want
Whether it is Relaxed, Natural or Texlaxed. Your hair your choice
