One of the good things about Brazilian hair weave is that it can be used a number of times. Before you re use it though, you have to revive it and the best way is to wash it. The lovely part is that as you wash it it looks better, fuller and livelier. I am here with a tutorial on how to wash that Braz weave and get it looking stunning again. But before we get to it…
The hair I currently have I actually got from my sister. Funny story… my sister got me the hair and called me to tell me but then, living in two different cities, it took a while for me to get the hair so she used it. When we finally saw each other visiting my mom, She was due to unplait it and I wanted what was mine hahahaha. so I then undid her hair. Bae had gone out with my brother and when they got back I was busy undoing my sisters hair. It all looked innocent to him until I was done I packed it neatly into a plastic and put it in my bag. He burst out laughing because he thought I bullied the weave off my sister’s hair. In his eyes it all looked ratchet. I can see why that would be but hey that’s sisterhood.
Lets get to the weave washing!
What you need
- Mild shampoo (that will be sulfate free)
- Conditioner (preferably a moisture treatment )
- Luke warm water
What to do
Step 1: Comb the hair out thoroughly to get rid of any tangles
Step 2: Fill a basin with luke warm water
Step 3: Dilute the water with your shampoo
Step 4: Put the hair into the water and dip the hair into the water as you comb through. Weft by weft
Step 6: Pour some water into the container (not too much)
Step 7: Put some conditioner onto each weft and place into the conditioner
Step 8: Microwave for 5 mins or less
Step 9: rinse out the conditioner
Step 10: Hang you hair to air dry
And there you go. done and done! you are now ready to go and get your hair re done.
I put together a vlog that I will be publishing soon of me washing the weave. look out for the vlog on my YouTube Channel.
