There is nothing more thrilling than realizing that you can use some makeup products for other purposes. Feels like such a steal! Thrilling!
I challenged myself to try and create a gorgeous makeup look using only 5 products. Well, excluding brows because honestly those have a life of their own. So this challenge includes Face, Eyes, highlight and contour, lips, etc.
Choosing the products was so difficult! It’s a game of pick and sacrifice. I picked the following products:
- Highlight palette: Swiitch Beauty Glowgasm Palette. You can swop this with an eyeshadow palette that has some gold shades to double as a highlighter
- Contour Palette: Beauty Treats Face powders Contour Collection
- Face powder: MAC Studio Fix Powder. I sacrificed foundation and Concealer to use powder instead
- Lips: NYX lip Lingerie in ruffle trim
- Lashes: Eyelure Texture Lashes in 117
With those picked out and ready, here is how I achieved my makeup look:
Eyeshadow: using the Beauty Treats contour palette I applied the reddish brown shade in the crease of my eyelids. I applied the rose gold shade from the Swiitch beauty highlighter palette all over my eye lid. Then, I applied the gold creamy shade to the inner corners on my eyes. I needed to make the eyelook pop a bit so I added another shade of gold to the centre of my eyelids. To complete the eyelook I applied the crease shade to my bottom water line and sealed the whole look with the Eyelure Texture lashes in 117
Face: I decided to go for a no foundation look. I applied the MAC Studio Fix powder and I applied it all over my face. This powder gives me a great finish so I love it. I am in the shade NC 45
Contour: I decided to get a Bronze/ Blush type of contour using the Reddish brown shade from the Beauty Treats Face Powder contour collection palette
Highlight: To highlight I used a subtle gold shade from the Swiitch Beauty Glowgasm palette to highlight my cheeks, my brow bone and my nose.
Lips: I applied the NYX Lip lingerie in Ruffle Trim. I used the want to act as a lip liner around my lips and filled it in.
And that’s it. That’s how I achieved this look using only five products. Check out my video on my YouTube channel if you want to see me in action. I challenge all of you to try it! Its so much fun.
