Since my days of watching Jerseylicious! I have been obsessed with a smokey eye but for the life of me most times than not it went terribly wrong. I ended up looking like I applied Charcoal around my eyes and left it at that. Even when I followed the correct steps, chances were that it just wouldn’t work out though sometimes it did. I learned from a makeup artists that smokey eyes are very risky for people with smaller, narrower eyes and then advised me to try reversed smokey eye. You have to know I was happy to try it out and it worked out perfectly.
Products and tools used:
- Blending brush
- Eye shadow applicator brush
- Eye Shadow palate with desired colours (I used Beauty Treats Colour Party Eyeshadow)
- Eye Shadow base
- Fixing Spray
What to do:
Step 1: Apply your eye shadow base and blend it in
Step 2: for that extra added zaz apply a warm brownish colour to your crease
Step 3: Dab the black (or any dark shade that you want) to the inner corner of your eye. Start with a little and build up from there. Then slighty blend the colour inward until it becomes smooth.
Step 4: Spray some fixing spray on your eye shadow application brush and pick up some gold eye shadow (or any shimmery bright colour that you want to use) and pack in onto your eyelid starting from the middle going to you outer corner of your eye.
Step 5 blend the colours so that they fall into each other and remove any harsh lines
Optional: Apply a lighter gold shade to you brow bone
